The NCB has purchased a state-of-the-art Guardian AO (oversize) scanner, and established a Digitisation Facility at the ANU, after obtaining a grant from the ANU's Major Equipment Committee in 2010.
As well as digitising images and documents for our own projects, we are making the Facility available, on a cost-recovery basis, to researchers requiring high quality digital images.
The Guardian scanner's special features are:
► captures images from passport size to large maps
► easily scans fragile and bound books without damage
► captures preservation quality images
Our highly trained staff have experience working on numerous digitial projects, including the National Library of Australia's newspaper digitisation project. We can undertake the entire project from image capture, through OCRing to completed pages for the web, or simply digitise material for you.
Contact Christine Fernon on (02) 6125 4146 or email@example.com to discuss your project requirements.
